Always the innovators, LaTrelle’s partnered with fellow family-owned restaurateurs, Pappas Restaurants to compete against other top companies for the prestigious 12 location contract at William P. Hobby Airport. LaTrelle’s brought to the partnership more than 15 years of experience in operating restaurants inside airports and across America, and Pappas brought over two decades of experience in restaurant operations throughout the country.

Being family-owned, both companies shared many values critical to their ongoing success, including a passion for great food and exemplary service, a reputation as one of the nation’s leading restaurant management companies, and a vision for going where no restaurant owner has gone before.

Together, they proposed a unique idea to the Hobby airport management team, which was to open several brands that had never been featured inside an airport. It was a bold move, and one that not only generated a lot of buzz, but also helped them win the $250 million contract.

The project, which began in 2005, has enjoyed incredible success. The partners have seen a dramatic increase in sales and everyone from the department director and airport management team, to the airlines and the public, has been very happy with the results.

Always up for a little competition, when LaTrelle’s received a request for a proposal to partner with Aramark to manage and finance restaurants in the 40,950 seat Minute Maid Park in downtown Houston, they came out swinging for the fences. Although a number of top restaurant companies vied for the opportunity, LaTrelle’s emerged as the leader with the most experience in successfully operating restaurants in some of the world’s busiest places. Aramark selected LaTrelle’s to become their largest partner, a role the company is proud to play. To date, the partnership has been very successful and both partners and the public alike agree that the food and beverage service inside the home of the Houston Astros is nothing short of a home run.
